Before joining Root Capital, he worked at Microport (a medical device company), Interamerican Development Bank (IDB), and CitiBank, among others. Weimar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Systems Auditing and Control. Weimar believes he can make a real and positive impact on the world by working for an organization such as Root Capital that promotes the development of vulnerable regions and communities while taking care of natural resources. Weimar loves music! He plays drums and is learning guitar. He likes outdoor activities, biking, and video games. He is also a devoted pet owner.
