As a Risk Officer, I help Root Capital balance fiscal responsibility with our deep impact goals by analyzing current and future loans in Africa and Indonesia. My team ensures the long-term financial health of the organization so that we can have the greatest impact on rural communities for years to come. Before Root Capital, I worked in commercial banks in Kenya, and I’m excited to bring the analytic and problem-solving skills I learned there to the new challenge of expanding access to finance for agricultural enterprises. I’m a lifelong Nairobian with family roots in Kitui County—you have to try the honey if you visit—and like to travel around when I’m not in the office.
