Rose Otieno Ochieng

Gender Equity Advisory Service Coordinator, AFR

As a Gender Equity Advisory Service Coordinator, AFR, Rose supports the global efforts of our Women in Agriculture Initiative as we build gender inclusion and equity alongside rural women across the world. She grew up in a small farming town in Nakuru County before pursuing a Masters in Anthropology at the University of Nairobi. Since then, she has spent more than a decade working in gender equity, agriculture, monitoring and evaluation, and climate change in international consulting firms. Root Capital attracted her with its track record of impact in the communities where it works. She’s grateful for the opportunity to bring her own experience to build on that impact. Outside of the office, you can find her cycling or practicing her interior decorating skills.
