Rolando Corrales

As Root Capital’s Senior Risk Officer for Latin America, I design, implement, and continually improve Root Capital’s risk management practices for our loans across the region. I enjoy that I work for an organization that creates real social impact—impact I’m reminded of every time that I visit our client businesses in the field. Every day, my job gets more challenging and more exciting, and Root Capital continues to support me in doing my job well. While I grew up in San José, Costa Rica, my mother is from the Caribbean coast, which has an incredible culture and amazing food (our secret is lots of coconut). When I’m not in the office, I love to travel, go to the beach, hike in the mountains, and do things spontaneously—those adventures are always the best!
