At Root Capital, I oversee the lending across our portfolio in Africa to provide innovative financial products to small and growing agricultural businesses . I’ve spent 18 years working in finance for traditionally overlooked populations; I began my career in microfinance, then worked at another bank that serviced small- and medium-sized enterprises in Kenya. What I enjoy most about my job is that no day is ever the same; working in smallholder finance is action-packed and full of adventure!
