Melissa Ankin

When Melissa was in college in my native upstate New York, she had a professor who fostered her budding interest in financial inclusion. A few years later, she learned about Root Capital’s model at a conference, and was fascinated and inspired by our approach to impact. She’s grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Root Capital’s mission by strengthening our systems and making sure that they run smoothly, so that our lending and risk management teams can do their jobs well. Outside of work, Melissa loves to spend time with her husband, daughter, and dog, whether it’s reading a good book, cooking something new, or enjoying a summer swim. Her family also loves to travel, whether it’s flying to a new country or exploring the area around their home in Georgia.
