As the manager of Root Capital’s lending portfolio in Africa I support the organization as we develop a responsible lending portfolio that maximizes our impact for smallholder farmers across the region. I grew up near the largest pineapple plantation in Africa and saw how it was a job and source of livelihoods for hundreds. For the past seven years I’ve used my training in business administration to work with farmers in various value chains across the region. I’m excited to bring those skills to Root Capital. When I’m not working at the office, I like to watch Formula 1 and explore my home country of Kenya—one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
