James Richardson

Managing Partner at Meritage Wine Group

Jim has had an exciting international career, from three years in the Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa to assignments in London, Brussels, and Paris as part of the oil and gas industry. His corporate career included senior roles in marketing, finance, project management, human resources, while his nonprofit involvement spans nearly two decades. His nonprofit experience includes being a past chair and board member of MicroLoan Foundation USA, and a trustee of The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts since 2017, having served as board chair from 2020 until 2023.

He has a degree in history from Connecticut College and an MBA from the University of Chicago. While living in Europe, he received the Diploma in Wines and Spirits, from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust in London. This led to him beginning a wine investment fund called Meritage Wine Group, which invests in fine wine and provides consulting services on buying, storing, evaluating, and selling fine and rare wines.

Jim is married and has three children. He lives in Concord, MA.
