Elena Sancho

At Root Capital, I’m responsible for planning, managing, monitoring, and evaluating the implementation of Root Capital’s grant-funded activities. I coordinate across departments to make sure that these activities are executed according to their budget and their committed deliverables. I’ve always worked in project management, and I’m glad that I can use the skills I’ve developed to contribute to an organization that achieves real impact for growing businesses and smallholder farmers. I grew up in Costa Rica, but my mother is from Honduras and I now live in Mexico City; I consider myself a proud Centroamericana! Outside of work, my two favorite things are dogs and the beach—especially when they’re together.
