Daniel Rivera
Head of Lending, Latin America
Daniel joined Root Capital in 2007 and is the Head of Lending for Latin America. In this role, he oversees Root Capital’s lending portfolio in South America, Mexico, and Central America. Daniel is a part of Root Capital’s Senior Leadership Team, serving as the Regional Team Chair for South America. In this leadership position, he ensures the regional team has the right tools and resources to efficiently and effectively execute Root Capital’s mission.
Daniel has prior experience in lending, finance, economic research, and project management across multiple sectors. Most recently, Daniel acted as the Chief Financial Officer at Rainforest Trading, a coffee exporter company, and as a loan analyst at Banco del Trabajo, both located in Peru. Daniel has a B.A. in Economics from Catholic University in Peru.
