Andrea Avendaño
WAI Analyst
In her role as WAI Analyst, Andrea contributes to strategy evolution, implementation and monitoring via research, analysis, writing, and cross-team coordination. She assists in the design and implementation of learning tools for Root Capital’s Gender Lens Investment Strategy, conducts data analysis and visualization to inform organizational gender strategy, prepares and delivers internal and external-facing training materials, reports, and presentations, and provides general WAI coordination support. In her time prior to Root Capital, Andrea worked in academic research, climate change mitigation, and data analytics. In her free time, Andrea is an avid badminton and tennis player. She enjoys exploring cafes, reading classic literature, and taking creative writing workshops.
