Alice Decker Burke
General Counsel
Alice serves as Root Capital’s General Counsel. She oversees all legal matters, including corporate governance and advice to the Board of Directors, statutory reporting and compliance, and strategic and legal advice and support to all Root Capital departments. Alice has over 20 years of legal experience in commercial finance, development finance, and creditor-side restructuring, most recently as Associate General Counsel with the United States International Development Finance Corporation.
Alice holds a BA in Economics from Swarthmore College and a JD from Northwestern University School of Law. She is a periodic speaker at the Annual Grunin Center Conference on Legal Issues in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing at the NYU School of Law.
