Abdoulaye Kabore

Business Development Manager

I support the growth and diversification of Root Capital’s agricultural lending portfolio in West Africa by developing and managing relationships with partner organizations, generating and assessing leads, and conducting marketing and industries research. I have more than 12 years of professional work experience in agricultural value chains development, innovations systems research and rural finance in several West and Central African countries. Before joining the Root Capital team, I worked as a rural socio-economist at the National Scientific and Technological Research Center (CNRST) in Burkina Faso, then as a rural finance volunteer in an international Belgian NGO (Aquadev International) and as an Agricultural Innovation Systems Researcher at the Africa Rice Center. I like that Root Capital uses a promising model to provide financial services and training to agricultural enterprises in the missing middle. Over the course of my time at Root Capital, I hope to serve at least 100 agricultural businesses across West Africa with the resources they need to grow and sustain their businesses.
