Joan Chenane

As a Credit Analyst, Joan analyzes loan applications from rural businesses across the region and monitor the quality of outstanding loans. Having grown up on a farm herself, she’s excited for the opportunity to bring her experience in finance and accounting to support Root Capital’s mission of supporting agricultural enterprises and rural livelihoods. She comes to this position with a BSc. in Applied Statistics with computing from the University of Eldoret and an MSc. in Finance from the University of Nairobi. When she’s not reviewing loan applications, you can find her reading, cooking, or hosting friends and family at my home.
