Root Capital is thrilled to welcome Eduardo Briceño and Dana N. François to our Board of Directors. With their extensive experience and shared commitment to sustainable development, innovation, and equity, Eduardo and Dana bring fresh insights and a dynamic approach to advancing our mission. Their leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow rural prosperity and strengthen the resilience of farming families around the world. 

Eduardo Briceño, Founder and CEO of Growth.how, is a globally recognized keynote speaker, facilitator, and author known for his work in developing cultures of continuous improvement and innovation. Eduardo’s insights on growth mindset and his widely-viewed TED and TEDx talks have inspired millions around the world to embrace a mindset of growth and learning. With his extensive experience as co-founder and CEO of Mindset Works, Eduardo pioneered growth mindset development services, a transformative approach that has helped countless organizations thrive.

Eduardo also brings a strong background in entrepreneurship, venture capital and investment banking, further enriching his ability to guide organizations toward impactful and sustainable growth. His induction into the Happiness Hall of Fame and his roles as a Pahara-Aspen Fellow and a member of the Aspen Institute’s Global Leadership Network are testaments to his commitment to fostering positive change. 


 

Dana N. François is a visionary leader with extensive experience in philanthropy, innovative finance, and sustainable development. At the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Dana oversees an extensive economic development and systems portfolio, championing family economic security through community-driven economic, food systems and impact investment development. Her leadership has been pivotal in initiating and expanding initiatives like the Haiti Food Systems Alliance and the Haiti Peer-Learning Network, which unite a global network of stakeholders to foster sustainable development and equity.

Dana’s strategic foresight and bridge-building skills have enabled her to navigate complex geopolitical landscapes, driving inclusive governance and equity across diverse sectors. As President of the Board of Directors of Haiti’s $25M Biodiversity Fund and Chair of Governance and DEI at NEID Global, Dana has demonstrated exceptional leadership in transforming organizations toward modern and inclusive management frameworks. Her deep commitment to systemic change and sustainability will greatly enrich Root Capital’s efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and inclusive economic growth.
