Earlier this month, Esther and Sam were gracious enough to travel around with Elise Garrity from Investor Relations and a photographer to build the photo libraries of Root Capital and the Argidius Foundation, highlighting Frontier Portfolio clients across three industries. Sorghum Pioneer received its first Root Capital loan in 2015, and aggregates 7,500 smallholders from the very rural community outside of Meru, Kenya.

We’ve learned over decades of experience that farming communities have resources and infrastructure ready to be mobilized in times of crisis. By leveraging these resources, we can preserve both lives and livelihoods in vulnerable rural areas.
