Jared is Chief Operating Officer (Interim), Jared oversees Root Capital’s day-to-day administrative and operational functions, ensuring the organization operates efficiently and effectively to meet our strategic objectives. Jared has previously worked at Root Capital as our CFO and COO. In addition to that, he has had a long, successful career spanning more than 35 years in the financial services industry. Most recently, he held multiple senior management roles at State Street, including Chairman of State Street Global Advisors; Head of Global Treasury, Liability Management, Money Markets & Derivatives; and Managing Director of Fiduciary Services. Prior to State Street he held several senior management positions at JP Morgan. Jared and his family have lived in London, Tokyo and Singapore. He’s currently the President of the York Land Trust, serves as a Trustee of the New England Aquarium and was a longtime Board member of the Massachusetts Audubon Society, serving as its Chair and now as an Honorary Director. When Jared’s not hard at work in his many roles, you can find him spending time with his grandchildren or gardening.
