Jack Kimani is a Pan-African development leader with more than 25 years of experience building and leading multi-country initiatives that strengthen rural economies, expand access to essential services and mobilize investment for sustainable development across Africa. He most recently served as the founding Chief Executive Officer of the Climate Action Platform for Africa (CAP-A), a pan-African platform working with governments, investors, philanthropies and development finance institutions to advance climate positive economic growth and inclusive livelihoods. Under his leadership, CAP-A helped mobilize partnerships supporting renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture and emerging carbon market opportunities across the continent. Previously, Jack served as Senior Program Director at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, where he led regional programs focused on strengthening health financing systems and expanding diagnostic infrastructure across African countries. Earlier, he held leadership roles with the Clinton Climate Initiative and the Clinton-Hunter Development Initiative, helping design and scale programs supporting sustainable agriculture, land restoration and rural livelihoods across East and Southern Africa. He began his career in corporate finance in the United States before returning to Africa to focus on development and institutional leadership. Jack holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and a degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay.
