Marbelí Rodríguez

I was born in Matagalpa, a region of Nicaragua where much of the country’s coffee is grown. Growing up, I remember spending lots of time outside, eating fruit picked fresh from the tree. As Root Capital’s loan officer for Nicaragua, I’m grateful to be able to play a small part in preserving the world I remember by bringing much-needed finance to businesses across rural Nicaragua that create opportunities for farming families. Many of the businesses I work with wouldn’t be able to find the capital they need to operate if it weren’t for social lenders like Root Capital.
