F\u00e1tima y yo hemos trabajado juntas durante una d\u00e9cada, y siempre me hace ilusi\u00f3n hablar con ella sobre la historia del Comercio Justo y el movimiento cooperativo en Nicaragua, en el que ella ha desempe\u00f1ado un papel clave. F\u00e1tima es el alma de SOPPEXCCA, y siempre me asombro cuando la veo en acci\u00f3n. Es una de las pocas l\u00edderes capaces de transitar por esa delgada l\u00ednea que separa el liderazgo con tenacidad del liderazgo con humildad.<\/p>\n<p><\/p><\/div>\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tras visitar SOPPEXCCA, mis colegas y yo nos dirigimos a Costa Rica. Una noche, acurrucados alrededor de una mesa en un restaurante con vistas a todo el valle de San Jos\u00e9, nuestra conversaci\u00f3n gir\u00f3 en torno a la noticia del fallecimiento de Mandela. Est\u00e1bamos pasando un rato -como creo que hizo todo el mundo aquel d\u00eda- reflexionando sobre \u00e9l, su vida y su liderazgo, cuando una de mis colegas costarricenses dijo algo que me pareci\u00f3 profundo: \u00abEra un poco m\u00e1s grande que los dem\u00e1s\u00bb, dijo. \u00abNo era una tonelada m\u00e1s grande, s\u00f3lo un poco m\u00e1s\u00bb. La magia del liderazgo de Mandela proced\u00eda del hecho de que era, de hecho, un poco m\u00e1s grande.<\/p>&#13;\n\n<div>\n<p><span>Pens\u00e9 en ello un rato despu\u00e9s de terminar la cena, y me di cuenta de que F\u00e1tima, la humilde y poderosa dirigente de SOPPEXCCA, es tambi\u00e9n un poco m\u00e1s grande que todos los dem\u00e1s miembros de su comunidad. Verla dirigir casi te deja sin aliento. No hay ni una gota de arrogancia, ofuscaci\u00f3n o derecho en su liderazgo. Es este liderazgo ilustrado y profundo lo que le ha permitido ejercer una influencia tan poderosa en las tierras cafeteras de Nicaragua y en el movimiento del Comercio Justo. S\u00f3lo es un poco m\u00e1s grande.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Cuando le pregunt\u00e9 a F\u00e1tima la semana pasada c\u00f3mo hab\u00eda superado su segunda crisis masiva del caf\u00e9, me respondi\u00f3: \u00abJa, los que est\u00e1n asustados por este mercado de un d\u00f3lar por libra (por debajo de los m\u00e1s de 3 $\/libra de 2011) seguramente no experimentaron los 45 c\u00e9ntimos por libra a principios de la d\u00e9cada de 2000. Tambi\u00e9n lo superaremos, no te preocupes\u00bb.
