Hallie Boyce

Development Officer, Grants

After six years working for Save the Children in the U.S. and the Middle East, focused on resource development and award management, I was drawn back to an original passion of mine: farming. Having a legacy of farming in my family and with my growing interest in food security, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture from my NGO work, I spent the last few years working on farms in California, Vermont, and Maine, while providing fundraising and strategic planning support to agricultural-focused organizations.  At Root Capital, I lead grant reporting and support the development of proposals for foundations, corporations, and public sector agencies. This role offers me the incredible opportunity to connect my early-career work in development and humanitarian response with my enthusiasm for agriculture and improving access to resources for those who need them most. When I’m not working at home in Vermont (or gardening!) I like to oil paint, hike, and listen to my favorite radio station, WFUV.
