Claudio Castro BadillaGlobal Coordinator, Agronomic and Climate Resilience Advisory
I coordinate Root Capital’s global Agronomic and Climate Resilience Advisory work—in my home country of Costa Rica and across Latin America. I’m an agronomist committed to conserving the environment and I’m glad to bring my experience in agronomic engineering to projects that help farmers adapt to climate change through increased knowledge and improved decision making. I’ve worked in this field since 2011 and am grateful for the opportunity to work with Root Capital clients to improve outcomes for smallholder farmers and the planet we all share. I hold a degree in Agronomic Science and Natural Resource Management from EARTH University and a master’s degree in Agriculture and Development from the University of Reading. When not providing training in cooperative offices across the region, you might find me tending my own garden or exploring local mountains and beaches.
